Delete your HeartSync account

HeartSync users can permanently delete their account and associated content from the app. If you cannot access the app, Web Dev NC can process a verified deletion request.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open HeartSync and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Go to the Account section and choose Delete Account.
  4. Review the deletion notice and complete the final confirmation.
  5. If HeartSync asks you to sign in again, reauthenticate and repeat the deletion step. This protects accounts from unauthorized deletion.

Request deletion without the app

If you cannot sign in or no longer have the app, email Web Dev NC from the email address associated with your HeartSync account. Include the account email address and state that you want the HeartSync account permanently deleted. We may ask you to verify account ownership before acting.

Never email your password, private journal entries, or photos.

Data deleted with the account

After a successful deletion, HeartSync initiates removal of data owned by that account, including:

  • Firebase Authentication account and HeartSync user profile.
  • Owned heartbeat entries, memories, and milestones.
  • Photos and other uploaded files stored for the account.
  • Invite codes and active partner-link or partner-request metadata associated with the account.
  • Notification tokens and account preferences stored in the profile.

Backend cleanup may take a short time after the account is removed. Deleting one account does not delete the linked partner's separate account or content that the partner owns.

Information that may remain

Google Play and Apple may retain purchase or transaction history under their own policies and legal obligations. Service providers may also retain limited security, fraud-prevention, crash, or legal records for the periods they require. HeartSync does not retain your deleted journal and photo content for marketing.

Delete content without deleting the account

You can remove individual photos and entries inside HeartSync while keeping your account. You can also disconnect a partner using the Partner controls. These actions are separate from permanent account deletion.
